Sonia Kashuk Matte Oil Blotting Papers Review
Sonia Kashuk went big with her Matte Oil Blotting Papers ($7), non only making them significantly larger than comparable ones from MAC (about a quarter of an inch longer on all sides), just also giving iii times as many sheets for just about half the cost (100 sheets for $7, versus xxx for $13.50 of the ones from MAC).
If you've never used blotting papers before, they're unremarkably just sparse sheets of tissue paper used to absorb oil and remove shine from skin without the need for additional layers of makeup. Lots of different brands make 'em, including MAC ($thirteen.fifty), Shiseido ($17), Too Faced ($12) and Make clean & Clear ($6).
You lot wouldn't recall there'd be much departure among different brands of blotting papers, only at that place can exist, both in terms of size and performance; some feel softer than others, also, and apply different kinds of paper or textile. Some even contain absorbent powders or clay.
Sonia's experience stiff to me, which I like, similar to Shiseido's Pureness Blotting Papers. Unlike MAC Blot Picture show, which has a pliable, tissue-like and well-nigh waxy feel, Sonia'southward experience sturdier, like stepped upward versions of toilet seat covers (which, fyi, can exist used equally blotting papers in a pinch). 🙂
My sensitive peel likes that these are only newspaper — big pieces of it — and don't incorporate any bells or whistles, because sometimes those bells and whistles, similar the absorptive Kaolin dirt added to Shiseido'south sheets, can sometimes requite me breakouts.
I usually need a couple sheets of MAC Blot or Clean & Clear Oil Arresting papers to get rid of shine, only I've been getting by with just one of Sonia's. They excel at lifting oil without disturbing my makeup, as well. Bully stuff. I'll be keeping a parcel of them with me in my purse. Makeup and Beauty Blog Rating: A+
Sock it to 'em!
Some ladies clothing socks with their loftier heels to make way statements … and some ladies do information technology to break in new pairs of Franco Sarto sandals.
I establish the sandals for half off at Marshall's the other day. Half OFF! Human being, I've been loving Marshall'southward lately. The cork wedge platforms give me a little peak but still have it like shooting fish in a barrel on my anxiety… Can't wait to wear these in summer!
Oh, this month's Real Simple magazine mentions that March is the best time of year for corking prices on sandals, and then keep your eyes peeled, and let me know what you detect. 🙂
